Open-air concert
When SINU takes to the stage, the room becomes a vibrating cosmos of sound made up of indie pop, poetry and emotion. Behind the project is Sinan Köylü, singer, lyricist and sound aesthete who, with his German-Turkish heritage and his fine feel for language, creates songs that dissolve boundaries - between sound and meaning, between melancholy and new beginnings.
SINU combines spherical soundscapes with profound lyrics that make German and Turkish sound new. It is music that feels and challenges - emotional, socially critical, cathartic. Driving beats, delicate guitars, a warm, rough voice that breaks into falsetto - somewhere between Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Ry X, yet unmistakably his own.
After acclaimed tours, festival appearances (Open Flair, Jazz & Joy, Glacis) and awards as Germany's best newcomer at Local Heroes, SINU is now on stage with new music and a big sound. His songs tell of love, intoxication, transience, racism and consumer criticism - topics that are rarely dealt with so poetically and honestly in the German pop landscape.
