Since 2019, the Maletten have been widely known for swinging, bouncing, and “tapping” at both fast and slow tempos. The band presents a mix of original compositions and well-known melodies with an extra dash of their homemade spice blend. In 2025, the band was awarded the Folkwang Prize. Through their improvisational skills, the musicians create something new at every concert, and their interaction casts the repertoire in ever-changing light. From explosive and exciting moments to danceable, dreamy, or even melancholic ones—it’s all there.
