Doctor, author, beer brewer, stage performer, comedian, politician, punk musician: Marco Pogo’s résumé is already longer than many a political career—only with a better soundtrack. With his band TURBOBIER, he has carved out a permanent place for himself in the Austrian and German music scenes. He has already been honored three times with the most prestigious music award, the Amadeus Austrian Music Award. Since then, he’s been using the trophies as drinking mugs at home. 

In 2015, he founded the Beer Party—originally intended as satire, but it quickly achieved surprising political success. In the 2022 federal presidential election, he achieved an impressive 8.3 percent, proving that humor and conviction are not mutually exclusive. Sold-out tours and performances at home and abroad—from Simmering to Wacken to Japan—speak for themselves.
