From Munich to Buenos Aires and Edinburgh: The first Munich Folk Night brings together three very different local and international voices from the vast world of folk and singer-songwriter music. Come enjoy an intimate and cozy concert night where you can laugh, cry, and even dance to a cumbia or two!
For Encantada , music is more than just a form of expression: it is memory, comfort, and connection. In her songs, the German-Argentine artist blends the intimacy of the “canción de autora” with contemporary Latin pop and influences from folk, bolero, and cumbia. Carried by her warm voice and clear arrangements, her songs create space for emotion and reflection.
Tyll is singer-songwriter Til Waldhier with his band Sophia Metz (flute, vocals) and Michael Eulenstein (double bass). They have taken their folk music—influenced by British and American songwriters such as Adrianne Lenker and Nick Drake—from German festival stages all the way to Scottish pubs. On Tyll’s debut album *Visions*, polyphonic vocals, intricate guitar melodies, and organic double bass lines weave together into a moving and distinctive work of art.
Dow & Honeyman are the two songwriters Alasdair Dow and Stuart Honeyman from Edinburgh, Scotland. In a very warm and entertaining way, the two musicians combine quirky, UK-influenced songwriting with bluesy and jazzy elements. At their concerts, rousing folk classics alternate with original songs that—sometimes delicate, sometimes bursting with energy—captivate the entire audience.
