Nikolas Oberländer Quartett (Abschlusskonzert BA)

For his bachelor’s degree, multi-instrumentalist Nikolas Oberländer performs his own compositions and seminal pieces from the jazz tradition alongside musical friends he has made over the past few years. The musical languages and practices of various countries and continents—which he has experienced through his numerous travels—inspire a high level of intensity that remains compelling and moving even in the most delicate passages. His new quartet highlights the clear tonal qualities of the clarinet and bass clarinet, without neglecting the possibilities of the saxophone.
