The Unlimited Edition
In the organizer's words:
Doors open: 6:30 p.m. | Show starts: 7:30 p.m.
“The Unlimited Edition” is a big band from the Hamburg jazz scene that is dedicated to the body of work of American pianist Bob Florence. Although Florence may be less familiar to the broader German jazz audience, his big band is considered one of the defining groups in the West Coast tradition—on par with the ensembles of Stan Kenton and Woody Herman. The focus is particularly on works from the 1980s: Albums like “Westlake” and “Concerts By The Sea” are true hidden gems for fans of big-band jazz.
Entrance to the JazzHall is through the main entrance of the University of Music and Theater at Milchstraße 12—not via Harvestehuder Weg.
