Open Lab Abend: Futures Prototyping

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

The future is uncertain—but we can make it tangible. At the “Futures Prototyping” Open Lab evening, you’ll learn how we can use speculative design and future artifacts to explore alternative futures and make them tangible.

Speculative design uses the method of futures prototyping to createvisualand physical designs of possible future scenarios. They open up new perspectives, spark debate, and help us develop our own visions. These methods allow us to think playfully about possible developments—and to actively participate in shaping the future ourselves.

We focus on the relationship between humans and machines, because technology today is much more than just a tool: it is part of our everyday lives, influencing our thinking and how we live together. We talk to machines, trust their decisions, and let them guide and advise us. Sometimes we even get the impression that they understand us emotionally. These interactions with technology are changing how we work, feel, and perceive ourselves. At the same time, we ask ourselves: What is there to gain—and to lose? And how do we want to shape our future with technology?

In this workshop, we’ll take a look ahead together:

  • How do we want to coexist with technology?
  • Which tasks should machines take on, and which should remain with us humans?
  • How are our bodies, our abilities, and our self-image changing because of technology?
  • What new forms of closeness, interaction, and relationship between humans and machines are emerging?
