A journey through time with Kurt Tucholsky
Sung, spoken and performed by Robert Stadlober
"If we are not cruel, then we immediately believe we are good."
It's about the impossibilities of human interaction. In matters of love as in matters of hate, about the senselessness of violence and the hopelessness of politics that seeks to communicate itself through violence. It is about the longing for a kind of real life and the perpetual struggle of the many for a small piece of the whole. And Robert Stadlober sings, speaks and reminds us that so much has not changed since Kurt Tucholsky said: "If we are not cruel, then we immediately believe we are good." Our times are certainly not really worse, but they are certainly not better either.
The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
