The Swing Summer Night starts with a dance class by the Hepcats. Under the guidance of professional dance instructors, you can shake a leg yourself on our stage during a free introductory course. The Hepcats are an enthusiastic swing dance school and part of the "Dresden-Hepcats e. V." association.

For over 25 years, the New Town Swing Orchestra has been delighting audiences with classic and modern big band arrangements at its concerts and regularly celebrates glittering dance evenings with the Saxon swing dance scene. The band's repertoire includes swinging hits by famous big bands such as Count Basie, Quincy Jones and Gordon Goodwin. The sound of the 18-piece orchestra alone is extraordinary and captivating. But when the impressive voices of Veronika Kralacek and Dan Smith/Michael Westhus evoke memories of Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, an inspiring evening is guaranteed.

The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.

In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
