PAULA PAULA creates perimenopausal, dystopian-romantic riot pop with a left-wing feminist educational mission, unwavering love for humanity, and lyrics that slap you in the face with one hand while extending the other toward ultimate reconciliation. With a touching blend of fierce political stances, self-deprecating fallibility, and plenty of room for the delicate nuances of the human condition, Marlène Colle (keys, guitar, vocals) and Kristina Koropecki (cello, synths, backing vocals) clear all the listener’s channels in this duo.
In this unique duo configuration, listeners can—amidst all the turmoil—let themselves sink completely into the acoustic sounds of the cello, guitar, and piano and listen to the finely composed interplay of the two voices.
Following their acclaimed debut “schade kaputt”—which featured over 100 concerts, rapidly growing audiences, a sold-out vinyl pressing, appearances on ARD’s “Ladies Night” and Till Reiners’ “Happy Hour,” and rave reviews in *Spiegel*, *taz*, and DLF Kultur, PAULA PAULA is now taking it to the next level and plunging us right into the composting process.
