The portraits by U8 HAUS artist Juancar explore the theme of identity through a combination of figuration and abstraction. In this acrylic painting workshop, you’ll learn unconventional methods for painting portraits that go beyond realism and for interpreting the subject emotionally and conceptually. The focus is on personal interpretation, bold use of color, and letting go of the pursuit of perfection.

This workshop is open to all skill levels. Juancar will provide you with individual feedback. The more experience you have, the easier it will be for you to experiment with new approaches. If you’re curious about expanding your artistic boundaries, this is a guided and inspiring space to do just that.

Materials:

- Provided: Acrylic paint, brushes, and paper.
- Please bring your own painting apron or old clothes.
- Recommended: Bring a collection of images that can serve as inspiration for your paintings.
