A multimedia lecture

When queer people see articles about themselves in the newspaper or on TV, they are sometimes amazed. Whether tabloids, quality press or news agencies: there are regular headlines about the "homosexual milieu" and awkward formulations such as "homosexuals and lesbians" or "self-confessed bisexuals" and "people in the wrong body", which show that things are not yet as relaxed in many editorial offices as one might assume.

Journalist Axel Bach (board member of the Bund Lesbischer und Schwuler JournalistInnen e.V.) will take a look at the older and more recent media past. Using examples, he will present an exciting and sometimes depressing kaleidoscope of media contempt, ill-considered formulations - but also moving (and from today's perspective, sometimes entertaining) reports.
