When Chris narrowly escapes death on the street, he tries to find his way back into society. Looked after by his neighbors, Chris lives with his buddy Alex at a Berlin S-Bahn station. Heroin addiction determines his everyday life and it seems impossible for him to free himself from the vicious circle. When he gets worse and narrowly escapes death, he decides to leave the streets and heroin behind. How can a young man find his place in our society when he hasn't fitted in anywhere since childhood - or wanted to?

Selected and moderated by pupils from the Katharina-Henoth comprehensive school in Cologne.

As part of the Reality Bites project, pupils are shown ways in which they can watch, categorize and discuss films. The groups go through the entire spectrum of a film curatorial activity: from joint viewing, public relations work and event organization to the preparation and moderation of public film discussions that take place at school and in the cinema.

The REALITY BITES project is a cooperation between the Filmhaus Köln, the Katharina-Henoth-Gesamschule and the artists Insa Onken, Beate Scherer and Markus Lenz.
