Reisen Reisen – der Podcast

The authors and journalists Michael Dietz and Jochen Schliemann host the travel podcast with the widest reach in the German-speaking world, "Reisen Reisen". The two have traveled to more than 100 countries, but they are far from finished. Since January 2018, they have been encouraging people to travel individually, sustainably and help them discover this beautiful world with all their senses.Whether Europe's best sides with South Tyrol, Sweden or Nice; nearby destinations such as Salzburg, Franconia or Helgoland; dream destinations such as South Australia, Thailand or Tokyo - everything is exciting and worth a trip when Jochen Schliemann and Michael Dietz talk about it. It is not always necessary to travel great distances or invest money for the dream trip. Often the perfect trip is closer than you think. Well-founded tips, atmospheric, almost poetic descriptions, down-to-earthness, a look at the environment, fun as well as the unique chemistry between Schliemann and Dietz characterize "Reisen Reisen". In addition, the two are always waiting with prominent guests such as the musicians Farin Urlaub or Marteria, the journalist Jürgen Domian or author Sophie Passman. Started as an idealistic project of two world-discoverers and -improvers, "Reisen Reisen" developed into the German-language travel podcast with the widest reach, with up to 90,000 listeners for individual episodes. In total, "Reisen Reisen" had 3.5 million downloads by August 2022. The Apple editorial team even selected "Reisen Reisen" as one of the best podcasts of 2021.Since summer 2020, "Reisen Reisen" has been cooperating with the print magazine GEO SAISON: In every issue, Jochen Schliemann and Michael Dietz feature in the column on the last page. In addition, the podcast also runs on GEO's website. Since November 2020, "Reisen Reisen " has been part of Deutsche Bahn's ICE portal and can thus be heard on all ICE and selected IC connections. With the renowned climate protection organization myclimate "Reisen Reisen" goes since September 2021 common ways and sets so a sign for more lastingness with the travel. And so that travelers on long-haul flights can also start the mental cinema, selected episodes of "Reisen Reisen" have been running in the in-flight entertainment of the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Eurowings, Swiss, Austrian Airlines) since June 2022.The podcast makers are convinced: "Travel makes you smarter, travel makes you more tolerant, travel makes us question and better understand the world, our home and ourselves - because you have to travel." -
