This time with author Thomas Montasser: *The Traveling Library*, *A Great Secret Love*. And the power of imagination. And books as a beacon of light in dark times.

In the white-and-blue tram that travels through Munich as a traveling library, Vera and Hans meet—and fall in love. But as a “half-Jew,” Vera must now, in 1937, do everything she can to avoid drawing attention to herself. The same goes for Hans, a socialist. The two hide coded messages for each other in the books of banned authors. Thomas Mann, Kästner, Tucholsky: as library books, they become a secret lifeline for Vera and Hans. Until Hans can no longer enter the traveling library…
Today: In an old streetcar, restorer Sophie stumbles upon faded library cards—and discovers the secret code of a great love.

One author, one book, two reading excerpts, and a good lunch (Lunch Quicky for 25 euros). In just 60 minutes, the new SALON concept combines literary discovery with focused conversation. Between arrival, ordering, and serving, the guest reads from their current work, answers questions, and offers insight into characters, background, and the creative process. The event starts at 12:05 p.m. and officially ends at 12:50 p.m.—with time for book sales and signings. You can count on these times and plan your day accordingly!
