In the organizer's words:
Where does the Kölsch language come from and what are its origins? Who wrote in Kölsch in the Middle Ages and why was the Kölsch language "en vogue" in the 19th century?
The Language History and Literary Studies seminar deals with these exciting questions and numerous wonderful Cologne texts, including of course the rich fund of song lyrics.
There are two books on the subject: "Et hät noch immer god gegange" and, alternately, "Sag, verzäll ens" and "Och, es dat schön".
