Sham 69 (Oi Punk/ Punkrock since 1975, UK)

Sham 69 released a new album Black Dog (TREATMENT/ OMP) at the end of April 2021. The band was founded in 1975 in England. Sham 69 wrote great hits like Hey little rich boy , Hersham Boys or If the kids are united . Hits that every punk and skin from then until today. There have been many line up changes within the band, the most significant of which is certainly that Jimmy Pursey was replaced in 2007 by Tim V who revitalized the band and has toured the world several times. Ian Whitewood has been with Sham 69 for over 30 years and is the worlds leading drummer. Lead guitarist is none other than Al Campbell, who played with the UK Subs for 13 years and also spent some time touring with Marky Ramone and Jayne County. On bass is John Woodward, who used to play with the mod band Long Tall Shorty and also with the oi band The Gonads. So that's Sham 69 today and despite all the rumors as to whether they exist, it's always overwhelming how powerful their performance is. They are back on the road, with passion and rocknroll in their blood. Watch out, asses are going to get kicked here!
