SHOPPING VENTURE Indie Rock Punk

ShoppingVenture is the new German urgency. That means indie rock with a punk edge, brought to the stage with ease. Simply going over the top, no false irony, pure joy in the music and 100% serious. On the whole: It shimmers and it glitters (That's awesome. Awesome.) The lyrics often seem absurd, peppered with crazy musical ideas. But what's even crazier is that you buy it. Because you soon realize that this is really about something. It's about friendship, it's about social habits and problems such as consumption, urbanization or the culture of remembrance. Anarchy on the farm, the fervent desire to become a dazzling ornamental carp or everyday life in summer in a Mediterranean port city are not neglected either. The direction? Forward! Go through the middle and change what you don't like. And if it doesn't work, well, you tried. Trying is ShoppingVenture's specialty anyway. The band looks expectantly into the future. Future, future, speaking of the future. The debut album Mensch zuerst is in the mixing process and will see the light of day in a few months. Stay tuned!

ALMOND COCAINE SCHNAPPS

MandelKokainSchnaps, MKS for short, cannot be pigeonholed. Their rock sound is wonderfully snotty, bluntly mixed with progressive synth sounds and plays with catchy melodies in a relaxed manner. Without fear of big emotions and extremely loud, the numerous MKS messages crash right into the audience's faces and unmistakably into their brains. When things get quieter, they take the form of epic goosebump ballads with orchestral sounds. However, MKS only give their fans a short breather with these at concerts, only to hit the ground running again shortly afterwards and make the whole venue shake. In all their songs, MandelKokainSchnaps express their thoughts and feelings clearly and unambiguously in German. With their music, however, MKS also stand up for uncomfortable, political and socially critical topics. They are particularly keen to use their platform to spread the message of more tolerance in all areas of life, an indispensable task that the band set themselves from the outset. Lines like "Racist, I personally think you're shit" are not only meant in the same way, but also express what MKS stand for: Diversity, openness, respect and love of humanity. And MKS stand for something else too: FRAUENPOWER! Wenke Zastrau, the band's front woman, leaves no room for doubt in this case. She loves being a woman and celebrates her feminine strength and longing in the MKS lyrics. Her height is not only expressed by her 1.75 meter height, but above all by her big mouth.

She relies on clear, strong words, which she doesn't allow to be forbidden and which quickly make it clear to everyone in the room: Watch out here!

SOAB

Alternative

SOAB make alternative in German, lots of guitar, like it loud, melodic vocals for big hooks, on-the-face rap, to shake you awake for the verses. Their lyrics are ruthless, escalation and humor are SOAB's preferred weapons of choice, as they underline in their ode to the unrestrained, "Beiß ab". Unfortunately, the five guys also had to learn that the party isn't always happy when the band has been around for over ten years, and they deal with themes such as loss and death in songs like "Gib mir Zeit". Anyone looking for yet another color on SOAB's palette after partying and howling together is welcome to be boundlessly angry and throw themselves head first into the mosh pit to "Get The Fuck Up". SOAB bring a lot to the table that you would put together in a chemistry set for the perfect band under laboratory conditions. It is therefore ironic that the band, which was founded back in their school days, was once part of a casting show with Thomas Anders. Moreover, the band toured more internationally than many a soccer club and played in front of thousands of enthusiastic festival-goers in Poland, Russia and even China. SOAB has a lot to tell and, with the help of the production team of Germany's metalcore gods Annisokay, has found the musical language to do so. "Ok, wow" is the name of their latest album, which sees the light of day with the help of neighboring punk rock giants Dritte Wahl. In addition to a home label, they also conveniently provide the vocals for the Flgship song "Mit jedem Kilometer".
