Anyone can sing—under this motto, we invite you once again this year to join us in singing well-known and new Advent and Christmas carols. Together with the Filderstadt
choirs, a special atmosphere takes shape at the FILharmonie, where voices, memories, and anticipation come together to create a little Christmas miracle. Familiar melodies like “Vom Himmel hoch,” “Alle Jahre wieder,” and “O du fröhliche” have been making eyes sparkle and bringing smiles to the faces of all who sing them for generations.

After all, singing brings joy: Making music together guarantees heavenly feelings during the Advent season and, after just a few notes, sets off that tingling sensation that makes these days of the year so special.

Hayley Huff and Robert Wieland bring all participants in the hall and on stage together into a harmonious whole during the Christmas carol singing. What might otherwise happen only under the Christmas tree or at the piano in the living room can be experienced here on a grand, communal scale: hopeful melodies bring people closer together, allow everyday worries to fade into the background, and create space for moments that can only arise in community.

Whether young or old, trained singer or casual participant—on this afternoon, everyone comes together to form one big choir. The result is a participatory concert whose impact extends far beyond singing: a musical beacon of light during the darker months of the year and an invitation to embrace the special time surrounding Christmas.
