Stefan Jürgenscompleted a three-and-a-half-year acting program at the Westfälische Schauspielschule in Bochum from 1983 to 1986. This was followed by engagements at venues including the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Theater Dortmund, the Theater des Westens in Berlin, the Bremer Theater am Goetheplatz, and the Schauspiel Köln, until he achieved nationwide fame in 1993 with the legendary comedy show *RTL Samstag Nacht*. The TV show aired from 1993 to 1998 and is still considered the most successful German comedy show to this day. He then portrayed Berlin “Tatort” detective Robert Hellmann in six episodes and appeared in numerous national and international TV and film productions before taking on the lead role of Carl Ribarski in the German-Austrian production “Soko Wien/Donau” from 2007 to 2021. Since 2002, he has released six studio albums to date. He is currently on tour in Germany and Austria with his new concert program, “LIEBE!” The actor and musician has received prestigious awards for his work. These include the Bavarian Television Award, the Bambi, the Golden Lion, and the Austrian Romy. In 2022, he received the Austrian Nestroy Theater Prize for his portrayal of General Harras in Carl Zuckmayer’s *The Devil’s General*. He is currently also appearing on stage in Berlin as TARTUFFE at the Renaissancetheater.
