"Following the release of "Seamonsters" - which was recorded in twelve days by the legendary Steve Albini in 1991 - The Guardian wrote: "Albini has lent considerable weight to The Wedding Present, with Gedge's voice flowing between rows of scowling guitars" and included the album in its list of "1,000 albums you must hear before you die". Despite its uncompromising sound, the album reached number 13 in the British album charts and was celebrated as a classic.
On all concert dates, the band will perform "Seamonsters" in full, along with other songs carefully selected from their extensive repertoire."
