Staging Borders through Bodies & Rituals

Borders structure our lives together - they organize and orient, separate and connect, protect and exclude. They are created in everyday life: in gestures, glances and routines. Borders have overhangs: edges where meanings tilt, where something remains that does not fit, survives or continues to have an effect. Through autofictional and discursive research, the body, language and social practices become a field of research in this performative piece development. TOUCH THE LINE invites a change of perspective: To experience borders not just as lines, but as thresholds with overhangs - dynamic, negotiable, physical.
