Hungarian Rhapsodies: Poetry and Music LIVE
Orsolya Kalász (poetry) and Kinga Ötvös(musical performance)!
Orsolya Kalászhas lived in Berlin as a translator and poet since 1995. Her poetry collection*Das Eine*received the Peter Huchel Prize in 2017. In 2021, she was awarded the Erlangen Literature Prize for Poetry in Translation, jointly with Monika Rinck. She writes her own poetry sometimes in Hungarian, sometimes in German, and translates her own texts into the other language herself—a process that often takes on the character of a variation.
Kinga Ötvösis a shape-shifter and vocal acrobat from Berlin. With degrees in vocal performance and theater studies, Kinga’s art operates at the intersection of various fields such as music, theater, drag, and performance art.
