Need a break from everyday life? Then come join us in the forest.
Our certified forest bathing instructor—specializing in mindfulness in nature—will guide you through the diverse forest of the Forest Botanical Garden in Cologne. You’ll be guided through exercises that help you open your senses and become more aware of your breath and body. As we engage in these activities together, we’ll tap into our creativity, and new perspectives will open up.
The practice of forest bathing—a “green shower”—which is popular in Japan, helps you slow down and promotes your overall well-being. A sense of calm settles in as you arrive in the here and now. There’s nothing to achieve, nothing you have to do, nothing you’re supposed to do—it’s time for you.
We practice mindfulness as we connect with nature and engage with one another. We listen to one another, linger in moments of silence, and remain open to what nature reveals to us. This course is open to all adults, whether beginners or experienced forest bathers. The course is for anyone who wants to take regular time out and recharge their energy.
Good to know:
In case of heavy rain or severe weather, the session will be canceled.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and bring a seat cushion and something to drink.
The route is short—just 2 km—and entirely on flat ground.
The course takes place at the Forest Botanical Garden in Rodenkirchen.
