>> Wohnen oder Grün? - Wohnen UND Grün! <<

In the organizer's words:
Under the titles “2012 >> Green, Greener Cologne? << und 2013 >> Residential Areas in the Rhineland—Where to Grow, How to Live? <<,” the Architektur Forum Rheinland addressed the issues of housing pressure, green development, and competition for land.
More than ten years later, the challenges facing urban development in the Rhineland—and in Cologne in particular—remain significant. Nearly half of the city’s total area is already built up or sealed. The demand for land for housing and commercial use remains high, but land cannot be multiplied. At the same time, the protection of green spaces, open areas, and valuable soils is essential for climate protection and climate resilience. How can we address the challenges posed by competition for land? How can the need for residential and commercial development be reconciled with nature conservation and soil protection? Experts will offer guidance and explain the tools available.
