Workshop: Analoge Retuscheverfahren in der Fotografie

The manipulation of images does not only begin with digital photography, analog processes also underwent sometimes complex processing steps until the finished print. In this course, you will gain insights into the mostly hidden work steps and techniques from the shot to the finished image in analog photography. Our negative restorer Anna C. Wagner will introduce you to the history of retouching as a photographic practice and show you impressive examples using original photographic objects from our holdings and sample collection. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to carry out your own retouching/coloring exercise on selected photo prints from the RBA.
