Workshop Typografische Experimente

In the organizer's words:

Together we develop our own characters in the field of tension between experimentation, play and legibility. By cutting, fragmenting and rearranging existing material, we create typographic works by hand. The process is open and experimental, yet clearly structured.

The deliberate renunciation of digital tools enables a direct confrontation with material, chance and control; it sharpens the understanding of form, composition and creative decisions. Graphic design is understood as an open, exploratory process.

The resulting works are condensed into a common typographic landscape, which is then documented and made available as a publication.

The workshop is aimed at anyone who works or would like to work in the field of design, with or without previous experience. The format will be led by Marian Fitz and Tim Schmeer in an open, concentrated and at the same time playful working atmosphere.
