21. Musikfestival Klassik für Kinder: Richard Wagner "Der Fliegende Holländer"
In the organizer's words:
Grand Opera for the Whole Family
Once upon a time, there was a sailor known as “The Flying Dutchman.” He was cursed to sail the seas for all eternity. Though he possessed great riches, they were of no use to him. Only the true love of a woman could set him free.
Senta, the daughter of a sailor, has a portrait of this very Dutchman hanging in her living room. Day and night she sits in front of it, gushing about the stranger. Could she be the chosen one, his savior?
