In the organizer's words:
As a theologian with the BBW Leipzig group—which also includes PHILIPPUS Leipzig—Ronny Valdorf organized a song evening in the chancel in the fall of 2025 together with friends. A diverse group of people contributed a variety of music
—including their own compositions as well as songs by The Flaming Lips, Andrew Bird, Lera Lynn, Gerhard Schöne, and others, along with traditional bluegrass songs.
This sparked the desire to plan a small series of events throughout 2026. The concept remains the same: a modern, open-format song night focusing on acoustic music and personal favorite songs.
