Orgelkonzert Nadiya Velychko "Der Klang Leipzigs"

With her concert program “The Sound of Leipzig,” organist Nadiya Velychoko invites the audience on a musical journey through Leipzig’s rich musical history. 

The program brings together works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck and Robert Schumann, Edvard Grieg, the Ukrainian composer
Mykola Lysenko, who studied in Leipzig, as well as Richard Wagner, thereby honoring the composers who have left a lasting mark on Leipzig as a city of music

Nadiya Velychko was born in Lviv (Lemberg), Ukraine. Since 2001, she has served as solo organist at the House of Organ and Chamber Music in Lviv. She is a sought-after artist at international music festivals and a regular participant in the Ancient Music Festival as well as the Diapason Organ Music Festival in Lviv.
She has been living in Potsdam for several years and, from there, performs throughout Europe and regularly in her home country as well. She can often be heard at St. Nicholas Church in Potsdam.
