Democracy, climate, peace—things aren’t looking so good. In the face of this shift toward authoritarianism, a sense of powerlessness is spreading. 

Yet there are a thousand ways to shift from the defensive back to the offensive. We’ll talk about what’s already working and what we need to scale up: legal battles, care work, safe spaces, grassroots legislation, happiness. And if necessary, we’ll learn from Jens Spahn along the way.

Arne Semsrott heads the investigative and transparency portal FragDenStaat; among other things, he has published the NSU files and regularly sues the federal government—with success. Through the Freiheitsfonds, he helps free people from prison.
