Bodo Kirchhoff, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1948, is a German author and screenwriter. Following his highly acclaimed novels Die Liebe in groben Zügen and Verlangen und Melancholie , he was awarded the German Book Prize in 2016 for his novella Widerfahrnis , among others. Kirchhoff lives in Frankfurt am Main and on Lake Garda.
