When Carsten Fuß moved to Naples in 1987, he found himself at the epicenter of soccer history. It was the time when Diego Maradona became a world star and Matthäus, Brehme, Klinsmann, Rummenigge and Völler conquered Italian soccer. The showdown of this period is the 1990 World Cup final in Rome, in which the recently reunited Germany wins the title. Carsten Fuß, one of the country's most renowned soccer commentators(German Television Award 2003), interviewed these and other soccer icons for his book (Mosaik Verlag) and reviews legendary moves on and off the pitch. The evening's celebrity guest is Felix Magath - European Cup winner, champion coach and one of the defining figures of German soccer. Achim Bogdahn, author, prominent BR presenter and ardent fan of TSV 1860 Munich, will be the host. Together they make it clear: soccer is not just sport. Soccer is contemporary history.
