Das Echo von etwas, das verloren gegangen ist.
In the organizer's words:
… or how does one become a German writer—a German poet—after growing up in Romania? What's happening, and what's gained? And why might this question be framed incorrectly?
A conversation with Carmen Francesca Banciu, Maria Bidian, Alexandru Bulucz, and Ilinca Florian
Moderators: Alexandru Buluczand Ernest Wichner
The echo of something that has been lost: This multifaceted gathering of Berlin-based writers of Romanian origin focuses primarily on what it’s like to write in a language other than the one into which one was born. What is gained by doing so, and what's happening? Is there a sense of loss—and if so, under what circumstances does it arise? What does it signify? Could another alternative have been conceivable? Isn’t it possible to live in Germany and write in Romanian?
The event will be held in German (with some Romanian segments, if applicable)!
