Der Holocaust fand nicht nur in Auschwitz statt Gedenk-Vortrag

Today, the name Auschwitz is almost synonymous with the Holocaust. Even though there is a great deal of superficial knowledge and many misconceptions circulating about Auschwitz, most people are at least somewhat familiar with the term.
The situation is quite different, for example, with Babi Yar, Chełmno, or Bełżec. These places and the events associated with them have, unfortunately, remained largely unknown to this day, even though the Nazi mass murders at these sites claimed far more victims than Auschwitz.
For this reason, this lecture aims to demonstrate that Auschwitz-Birkenau, with its four massive, highly technical crematoria and gas chambers, was “only” the monstrous tip of the iceberg of years of development in industrialized murder, and that Auschwitz would not have been possible without its precursors, where the killing was improvised, tested, learned, and optimized.
Roland Vossebrecker (1965) is a musician. Since 2015, he has regularly performed benefit concerts for the aid organization Oxfam and has already raised approximately €160,000 through these efforts.
In addition to his musical activities, Roland is involved in educational work on the Holocaust. Every year, he organizes and leads educational trips to Oswiecim/Auschwitz and to Lodz (Litzmannstadt Ghetto, Kulmhof Extermination Camp).
