In the organizer's words:

SARIOLA

As a fingerstyle virtuoso and singer-songwriter, SARIOLA is known for his rousing live performances, his beautiful songwriting, and his percussive playing style on the acoustic guitar. He has released five solo albums, performed nearly a thousand concerts on solo tours throughout Europe, the U.S., and Japan, and reached millions of viewers on YouTube.

Currently, SARIOLA is presenting music from his latest album, “Voyager,” blending progressive acoustic guitar and percussive techniques into a solo performance that sounds like a full band. The program ranges from rousing rhythmic pieces to melodic songs and atmospheric soundscapes, drawing inspiration from rock, electronic music, and the experimental guitar tradition.

He has been awarded the Nokia Young Talent Scholarship, the Honorary Prize at the Helsinki Funk Awards, and the title “Guitarist of the Year” by City Magazine, and has appeared on the cover of Guitar Player’s “Frets” magazine as well as Akustik Gitarre, Europe’s largest acoustic guitar magazine.

Christoph Reuter & Stephan Bormann

Christoph Reuter (p) and Stephan Bormann (g) have been providing the instrumental counterpart in various vocal projects—such as Cristin Claas and the Songland Trio—for 25 years. Now, for the first time, these two exceptional musicians can be experienced live with their duo program “Indian Summer.” They effortlessly span a musical spectrum ranging from world music, jazzy ballads, and tangos to powerful groove-driven pieces. The varied hues of the forests, which give “Indian Summer” its rich diversity, are reflected in the two musicians’ compositions.

Stephan Bormann is a professor of jazz/rock/pop guitar at the Dresden University of Music; a specialist who can make a single guitar sound like an entire band—groovy and with a healthy dose of energy. He has released countless CDs (Hands On Strings, 10String Orchestra, Solo) and several books (Schott Music—Solo Guitar Book, Sounds Of the World). Christoph Reuter is a trained jazz pianist, but his secret passion is percussion, which will also serve as an enriching stylistic element this evening. He composes oratorios and orchestral works and tours as an award-winning cabaret artist with several shows. In 2021, Heyne Verlag published his first book, “Everyone Is Musical! (Except Some),” and his second followed in 2025.
