Konzert: MusiSHEans

In the organizer's words:

MusiSHEans

MusiSHEans brings together professional female guitarists from all over the world and organizes an annual tour through Europe. The vision: a world in which musicians are recognized regardless of their gender. Because: music has no gender. By bringing professional female guitarists to the stage, MusiSHEans creates visible role models for the next generation - and encourages young girls to pick up an instrument, find their own voice and try out music freely.

For the MusiSHEans Guitar Tour 2026, founders Judith Beckedorf from Germany and Karlijn Langendijk from the Netherlands welcome Ali Tod from Scotland and Valeria Galimova from Russia for an unforgettable musical journey through Europe. The four artists perform both solo and in changing combinations, covering a wide range of styles: percussive fingerstyle, classical guitar, modern and pop fingerstyle as well as singer/songwriter.

The musicians of MusiSHEans:

Karlijn Langendijk

Karlijn Langendijk is a Dutch guitarist and composer known for her melodic imagination, emotional depth and cross-genre acoustic style. Growing up in North Holland, surrounded by guitar music, she started playing at the age of 13 - inspired by her father - and wrote her first composition at 16, when she discovered that music can express what words cannot. She has toured Europe and Asia, shared the stage with artists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger, and was awarded First Prize at the Francisco Mário International Prize for Modern Guitar - Europe in 2023.

Judith Beckedorf

Judith Beckedorf is a multi-instrumentalist on guitar, mandolin and banjo as well as a singer/songwriter with a flair for melody and storytelling. Her compositions combine catchy melody lines, unfiltered personal experiences and fictional narratives - mostly on the nylon string guitar. A stay in Nashville, Tennessee awakened her passion for folk music, which still shapes her playing today. Her concerts have taken her through Europe and the USA.
