From June 29 to July 12, feeLit - International Literature Festival Heidelberg will be hosting its authors at halle02 for the first time. This new festival venue will be all about books and writing. This year, feeLit presents national and international literary stars and brings authors together with their audience.
Michel Friedman & Robert Menasse in conversation about Europe
Michel Friedman is a lawyer, philosopher, publicist and presenter. From 2000 to 2003, he was Vice President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and editor of the Jüdische Allgemeine. He is committed to combating right-wing radicalism and promoting integration and has been an honorary professor at Frankfurt University since 2016.
Robert Menasse, born in Vienna in 1954, studied German, philosophy and political science in Vienna, Salzburg and Messina. In 1980, he completed his doctorate with a thesis on outsiders in the literary world. He then taught for six years at the University of São Paulo, on subjects including Hegel, Lukács, Benjamin and Adorno. He has lived in Vienna as a writer and essayist since 1988.
