An evening with Ferdinand von Schirach "The Silent Friend"
From autumn 2026, Ferdinand von Schirach will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland with his new program "Der stille Freund". It tells of the triumphs of man and his failures. About friendship, hope, the Greek stoa and death. The program will have a completely independent form, based on the book of the same name. However, it can only be experienced on stage.
Der Spiegel called Ferdinand von Schirach a "great storyteller", the New York Times an "extraordinary stylist", the Independent compared him to Kafka and Kleist, the Financial Times to Raymond Carver, and the Daily Telegraph wrote that he is "one of the most distinctive voices in European literature". His books have been made into numerous films and have sold millions of copies to become international bestsellers. They have been published in more than forty countries. His plays Terror and God are among the most successful and most discussed dramas of our time worldwide.
