Description

The English composer and lute player John Dowland (1563-1626) left behind a large number of poetic songs.

Pianist Thomas Rückert and saxophonist Peter Dahm will revisit these songs.

The fragile beauty of the Renaissance melodies meets improvisational transparency and tonal breadth. Saxophone and piano interweave to create a quiet, luminous homage to melancholy, consolation and the timelessness of music.
