Fuga – Neue Musik für Flöte und Electronics
In the organizer's words:
“fuga” is a composition for flute and multichannel electronics. The piece is based on extensive archival research: At its core are sound recordings made by Brigitte Schiffer, a Jewish-German composer, in Egypt during the 1930s. In “fuga,” flutist Roy Amotz responds to the archival recordings, and together with artist Netta Weiser (electronics), they create a contemporary, sensual resonance. The work reflects the cyclical nature of time: of life and death, of art created in times of war and exile.
