GUY OFFENBACH
“Lo Amiti” (אמיתי לא) is the title and centerpiece of the upcoming second album by Haifa-born artist Guy Offenbach. The album, whose name is derived from the Hebrew phrase for “unreal” or “fake,” tells a coming-of-age story—viewed through the dusty prism of ’50s pop, abstract surf rock, and lo-fi ambient post-punk. It’s about returning to the city of one’s youth to confront the ghosts of the past—only to realize that the memories themselves feel like blurry, cinematic fictions.
