In the organizer's words:
That's the point
What keeps us hopeful when uncertainty, exhaustion or powerlessness dominate our everyday lives? HOPE gets to the bottom of this question and shows hope not as naïve optimism, but as a conscious, often quiet practice by women and people who read and identify as female.
The project is based on audio interviews with people aged between 15 and 100. From their stories about moments of connection, gestures of resistance and relationships that carry, a polyphonic sound space emerges. It is about actions that preserve dignity and scope - especially in times of social shifts and uncertainty.
That's why you have to go in
In HOPE, these personal stories are physically translated into space and dance by the performers. The result is a walk-in "landscape of hope" in which voices, sound, light and movement intertwine. The audience is invited to move freely and perceive the resonances in their own bodies.
What do we draw strength from? Is it the closeness, the solidarity, the attention for each other or the decision not to harden despite everything? The performance makes it possible to experience hope as a fragile but effective force: as a resistance to deadening and as a possibility to remain capable of action and connected - even if there is no guarantee of a happy ending.
Pssst!
Behind the project is the choreographer MIRA (Julia Riera-Kresser), who combines documentary voices with contemporary dance language. Her production makes hope physically tangible and shows how it arises and connects across generations.
