Fraport – A Global Airport Operator with Roots in Frankfurt

What’s it about?

Starting from Frankfurt Airport, Fraport has expanded its airport portfolio internationally over the past few decades. In recent years, the focus has been particularly on major expansion projects, including Terminal 3 in Frankfurt. Fraport’s development illustrates its transformation from a local airport operator to an internationally active airport company.

Where do we stand today?

Today, Fraport operates an international network of airports, relying on modern technologies as well as sustainable operational and development concepts. The aviation industry faces challenges such as digitalization, increasing efficiency, and sustainability, while at the same time, demands on airport capacity and infrastructure are growing worldwide.

What’s new?

The planning, operation, and expansion of airports are increasingly viewed holistically. Experience gained from various locations and projects is incorporated into international development and expansion initiatives and supports knowledge transfer within a global airport network.
