In the organizer's words:
Presentation
Micromobility – New Vehicle Concepts for Logistics, Commuting, and Leisure
What’s it about?
The focus is on micromobility solutions for various areas of application. These include modular electric cargo bikes for efficient last-mile logistics that reduce traffic congestion, as well as the XBoard as a compact, intermodal mobility solution for urban areas.
Where do we stand today?
Urban logistics continues to be served primarily by traditional delivery vehicles, while electric bicycles and electric scooters dominate bicycle traffic. However, existing solutions often reach their limits in terms of payload, safety, and application-specific requirements.
What’s new?
The vehicle concepts presented here apply development approaches from the automotive sector to micromobility. Since existing standard systems and components are not suitable for novel applications, new technical solutions are being developed in the areas of drive systems, frames, and chassis.
