In the organizer's words:
From Johann Sebastian Bach to Heinz Rudolf Kunze
Domenico Cimarosa and UNHEILIG
Matthias Claudius and Rainer Maria Rilke–A symbiosis of musical and luminous poetry
Moonlight Concert is a unique musical experience that fascinatingly combines different genres and instrumentations. With vocals, saxophone, piano, guitar, Syrian darbuka, and percussion, a soundscape is created that enchants the senses and touches the heart.
In an atmosphere of candlelight and moonlight, five passionate instrumentalists transport you into the world of moving instrumental and singer-songwriter music. Enriched with expressive musical settings of lyrical classics by Rainer Maria Rilke and rounded out with arrangements of classical works ranging from Domenico Scarlatti to Johann Sebastian Bach.
Moonlight Concert is a very special moment to let yourself be enchanted by the magic of a sensual atmosphere of poetic music. It is a journey into the world of poetry, brought to life by passionate and extravagant music. Immerse yourself in this unique world of sound and let yourself be moved by lyrical texts, atmospheric melodies, and rousing rhythms.
Cologne-based singer-songwriter Michael Schweiger, known as DER SCHWEIGER, invites renowned artists to participate in this extraordinary musical concept. With melancholic and sensuous songs, Schweiger offers unusual insights into strangely intimate stories.
