Vadym is twenty-two. He is a sound engineer and a pessimist. In three months he's going to Canada. For good. Before he leaves, he is commissioned to record the voice of a very rare bird that is only found in the mountains of the Ukrainian region of Transcarpathia, where he is heading with his mother.
An eccentric and touching comedy, a mother-son story about family, identity and homeland, which allows an undisguised view of modern Ukraine and playfully deals with central questions.
