Osmosis is a joint and interdisciplinary project between the Jugendjazzorchester Sachsen and TanzART Kirschau. Conceived and directed by Jana Schmück (choreography) & Philipp Rumsch (composition & sound design), around 30 young musicians and dancers create a piece that reflects on the way we communicate with each other. In times of multiple crises and the retreat into 'opinion bubbles', the participants use the project to explore ways of coming together again. 'Osmosis' creates encounters between different artistic genres, but also between the audience and the performers. An exciting exchange between dance and concert, acoustic instrumentation and electronic sounds and movement awaits you on this evening.
TanzART
TanzART e.V. is a non-profit association and an established institution for artistic dance formats in rural East Saxony and beyond. We want to provide a platform for dance with all its facets and forms of expression and at the same time strengthen the understanding of dance and other art forms. In addition to offering a wide range of dance activities for people in the region, TanzART primarily aims to implement intercultural projects in rural areas and establish professional contemporary dance concepts in eastern Saxony. An important goal of TanzART is to revitalize the rural area culturally, to motivate people to actively participate and to constantly expand the target groups of our audience through contemporary and innovative formats (audience development). We have many years of experience in the implementation of dance art and work closely with regional partners in the culture and dance scene.
