For over three decades, the OPUS 4 trombone quartet—featuring musicians from the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra—has been synonymous with musical excellence at the highest level. In Moers, the ensemble invites you on a musical journey through five centuries: from Monteverdi, Schütz, and Bach to Gershwin and Irving Berlin.
With the warm, homogeneous sound of historical Baroque trombones, the four musicians unfold a fascinating palette of tones ranging from spiritual depth to Baroque agility and swinging lightness. A concert full of contrasts, discoveries, and sonic surprises!
