Sinfoniekonzert Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg
In the organizer's words:
Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra
Conductor:Mario Hartmuth
Following its impressive guest performance last season, the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra returns once again to the FILharmonie. The orchestra brings together the state’s finest young musicians, aged approximately 13 to 20, and has been synonymous with musical excellence at the highest level since its founding in 1972. What you hear here is the result of great passion, intensive rehearsals, and extraordinary artistic focus.
Twice a year, the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra comes together from all parts of the state to rehearse challenging works from the symphonic repertoire under the guidance of renowned conductors. Supported by experienced instructors, these young talents gain insights into professional orchestral work while simultaneously growing into a cohesive, highly motivated ensemble. This unique blend of youthful energy and remarkable precision creates the orchestra’s distinctive sound.
The audience experiences not only technical skill but also musical immediacy in this orchestra: a joy in playing, curiosity, and great dedication result in interpretations that come across as fresh, decisive, and at the same time nuanced. It is precisely this combination that makes every LJO concert a special event.
